Dystopian Girls 5 will finally be released later this month. In the meantime, check out this interview with the author:
How do you come up with the ideas for your stories? I basically say to myself constantly, "What If?" For example, in the case of Dystopian Girls, I asked myself, "What would happen if very few males survived an upcoming worldwide catastrophe? And what would if be like to be one of those few men?" For my first published book I asked myself, "What if vampires and werewolves were shapeshifting aliens that took up those forms on other planets to blend in the intelligent species that lived there?" What kind of books do you like to read? I enjoy novels that start with an unusual and fascinating premise or concept. I like realistic character development and a fast paced story. I get bored easily when an author tries to impress me with their extensive vocabulary or eccentric writing style. Describing what every character in the crowded room is wearing right down to their socks is also a turn off for me. Just give me enough details to paint a mental picture, then get on with the plot. If they made a series of movies out of Dystopian Girls, what actresses would you select for your characters? This is a fun question. My characters are unique and precious to me, so I don't typically think of real people when I develop them. But certain actresses would be a good fit for portraying them on screen. Alexa would be played by Zoey Deutch. That one is a perfect match. Based on physical appearance and demeanor the best actress to play Riley would be Kristin Stewart. Though there are several great candidates to play Jada, my first pick would be Nicole Beharie. Bianka is a great role for many sexy blonde actresses. If an established actress is required I'd might go with Scarlett Johansson. But honestly, I think an up and coming unknown could really make their mark playing Bianka. There is no doubt who the best selection to play Stella would be. Millie Bobby Brown, though she is currently too young for some scenes. Just to shake things up a bit, I'd try to get Bobby Lee to play Ling. That would be hilarious! If you could only invite five people to a dinner party, who would they be? My five most devoted readers. Nothing would be more entertaining for me than to hear what they think about my characters and plot twists. I read every review posted on every platform to get ideas on how to surprise and delight my readers with each new book. If I had to pick famous people instead, I'd go with unique comedic minds like Robin Williams and Andy Kaufman. Then add some of my favorite authors. Just check out my Goodreads page to see who they are. Interested in reading this series? Find book one here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RGCM9VM

AuthorRodzil LaBraun is a creative storyteller that has been inventing unique worlds and alternate realities all his life. He writes what he likes to read: inventive environments, imaginative points of view, and believable characters. He proposes that a far fetched world does not mean that the characters must have extreme personalities or repeatedly make unwise decisions. As humans we spend most of our life in the mundane, but we ourselves are far from boring. We like to escape to new worlds and meet new characters with which we can relate. Archives
